CALVIN AND HOBBES MOVIE
if they made a movie that would be cool!or if they made a series. If bill watterson likes the strips imagine of the movies and whatnot it would ROCK!!!!!!!! To rspond just reply to my message

A movie would be cool...
..if they kept it like Calvin and Hobbes' strips. I wouldn't want to see Calvin or Hobbes or any of the characters do or say something they'd never do. It would be better if it were animated. I mean, does anyone else think some of the actors who play cartoons in movies don't look exactly like them, and they make their personality seem different?
I think an animated tv show would be cool, too, if Bill allowed it (he said he didn't want to devalue them, so..)
Anyone else agree?

There will be no movie.
Bill says no. There is going to be NO movie, final. Everyone keeps bringing this up and it's late at night now and I'm just sick of it.

Calvin and Hobbes Movie would rock!
Calvin and Hobbes: The Movie
PG for Cartoon violence, crude humor
Taking place a few years after where the comic ended, a now 10 year old Calvin gets home from school one day, and decides to fly to Mars with his tiger buddy, Hobbes. They land on Mars, and soon discover monsters living on Mars. They get chased by the monsters, and fly back to Earth, narrowly escaping.
The thing is, one monster follows Calvin and Hobbes without them knowing. When they reach Earth, they have no idea what chaos is about to ensue.
Reports on the news say people have been mysteriously dissapearing in the woods. Houses are being destroyed. No one knows the cause of this.
One day, Calvin and Hobbes go walking in the forest, and discover a nest, full of large eggs. And you know what is next to it? The monster. And it turns out, she is feeding the bodies of these people to her babies. Calvin and Hobbes return to tell people about this, but know one believes it.
Soon, these attacks are growing more frequent, and are quickly spreading across the world. Armies are looking for these creatures. The Army is in great peril, they can't defeat the monsters. No weaponry works against them, in fact these monsters appear to be invincible.
Calvin and Hobbes decide the only way they can defeat them, is by fighting fire with fire. So, they transmogrifa (sorry, can't spell it) into the monsters. It is then they discover the inner power of the transmogrifer, and fight the monsters as monsters.
But things go wrong. A new villian begins the apocalyse. A new hero will emerge. And the true villian is releaved. The long awaited battle between god and the devil has finally begun.
Will they succecd?

This is how I think it would go
Calvin, a young boy struggling with life, becomes an unlikely hero when Hobbes enters his life. A diagnosed Asperger's Syndrome child, he animates the world that he sees in his head. Soon, he finds out that Hobbes is in great peril, so Calvin must stop the destruction of his well-known friend.

Here's what I think it would be about...
The story starts out in the past when Calvin met Hobbes and shows all their adventures they've had together.
The story then enters the present when Calvin and Hobbes are walking into town after another wagon ride/accident and they see a UFO crash into an alley. No one else sees it, so Calvin and Hobbes check it out. The Ufo opens up and out climbs a green alien with blue hair who looks a lot like Calvin. The alien has a gem around his neck and tells Calvin that he's an alien princewho is fleeing form space bandits and must hide somewhere. Calvin and Hobbes let him stay in the treehouse (after an arguement on whether they should help him or not). Ziptar (the alien) soon gets bored in the treehouse while Calvin's at school and sneaks into the house. He finds fresh-baked cookies on the table and tries one, falling in love with the taste and takes the plate upstairs to Calvin's room, where Hobbes freaks out when he sees Ziptar out of hiding.
Calvin comes home after school and Hobbes tells him that Ziptar left the treehouse and is watching TV. Calvin runs in and tells Ziptar that if his parents see him, they'd throw a fit. Ziptar tells Calvin he's too engrossed in the household items Calvin has and wants to stay in.
Calvin soon gets an idea and asks Ziptar if he could pose as a human. Ziptar turns the gem he's wearing like a knob and he appears human, looking at Calvin, who gets an evil grin and cons Ziptar into going School for him.
While Calvin and Hobbes hide/hangout in Calvin's room Ziptar sits in class, acing a tests, answering every question right (using his mind powers) and standing up to Moe and beating the bully. Ziptar then meets Susie and falls in love (when Calvin finds out about this, he freaks out, explaining he and Susie hate each other and if Ziptar posed as Calvin and crushed on her, his rep would be vanquished)
Suddenly, the space bandits arrive on earth and find out Ziptar's posing as a human and they try to kidnap him, but end up kidnapping Calvin instead.
Ziptar, Hobbes, and Susie are forced to team up to save Calvin (while Susie demands an explaination why), not knowing he may be the only one who can save the universe from total annihalation from a deadly frap-way machine cannon.
Can Hobbes, Ziptar, and Susie save Calvin? Will Calvin, dressed like his ego Spaceman Spiff, be able to disengage the cannon? Can they all save the universe from its end??

Heres what mine would be
It's starts off, while the opening credits roll, they show the very first couple of strip all in motion with showing how they all oridinated. Then 3 months later, Calvin and Hobbes are making a G.R.O.S.S. meeting, saying that they have to slime Susie with a paint baloon. But instead of doing this, they push the car out of the driveway and into the ditch, and they run away.
After a few more minutes, they meet this groop of runaway kids, and they join forces to survive in the wild. But after two days of living in there, they get a call from the government that theres this evil bad guy dude thingymabober trying to take over , they beat him after a long journey, and Calvi and Susie kiss THE END

Here's another idea for the movie
Okay, in this film, Calvin gets mad after he gets assigned a book report, gets caught throwing paper clips in class due to his anger since does not want to do it, and goes to the principal for the 100th time. To vent his anger, he sprays Fire Extinguiser all over the school during recess, and then the teachers get really mad. They send him off to juvienlle, but he escapes in a cinematic skateboarding scene after he gets a kids skateboard. He then runs into his house, careful so his mom doesn't notice him, and gets hobbes. He escapes into the woods with Hobbes, and hopes he will never be found. But soon he finds out that both a juvie offical, his parents, and a policeman.
