Calvin: As far as I'm concerned, if something is so complicated that you can't explain it in 10 seconds, then it's probably not worth knowing anyway.

Need help with a spiff project i'm working on.
Right now, i've got nothing, but that's because i'm not sure what doom engine game i should use: The original doom, doom 2, or Heretic.
Also, just because it's a mod for doom (or maybe heretic), doesn't mean that there will be blood and gore (once i figure out how to get rid of the blood decals in zdoom)
I might want doom just because of the BFG. Then again, the weapons in heretic use magic projectiles, which would make the weapon graphics fun to edit.

Umm...
I don't know engine I would use; you got to ask Frank that, because he's working of a game called CalvinStein (Wolfstein).
Blood and gore is never really a good thing on sites like this, but i use it in my ppt's here and there. But if you put blood in the game, make it so, in my opinion, like the Spiderwick Chronicles, and have there blood be green.
I wish the best of luck to you. If you ever finish it, put in the famous GOD mode and DOG mode cheats.
I knew I should've searched for invisible traps.

Easy to do!
Get a copy of 'Wolfenstein 3D' like Golden Shyguy said, and import your things into it. It's ever so easy! There are 6 episodes you can work on if you get the full version, but you can also get the demo for 1 episode (10 levels each).
